Women's Political Network

“Women's Political Network“ Since 1999, WC has become a member of the Women's Political Network, which was established by NDI. Since than we have been actively engaged in working with political parties in order to increase the number of women in politics. From 2000, we began working with the organizations for increasing women's representation in politics. In this project Women’s Center worked with medical society and with different social status (parliament members), government officials of the central and regional offices and NGOs took part in organization. women's political forum, help training and meetings in the regions. In May of 2001, women's political network, with the help of NDI was the organizer of the women's political forum, which connected women with different social status (parliament members), government officials of the central and regional offices and NGOs.

Another forum was conducted in June 2001 the main goals of which were to involve women in the decision making process of civil society and of independent state construction. An important issue discussed during the forum was the quota for women in order to become a parliament member.(National Democratic Institute).
